Job Summary
Represent clients in criminal proceedings and personal injury claims, including car accidents, workplace injuries, and premises liability. Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs; conduct consultations to evaluate cases and advise on legal options. Develop strategies through research and investigation, then negotiate plea agreements and settlements with opposing counsel and insurers. Represent clients at depositions, mediations, hearings, pre-trials, and trials while maintaining strong communication and managing expectations. Collaborate with paralegals and fellow attorneys to ensure effective case management. Licensed in Missouri (IL, KS, TX a plus) with 1-3 years of relevant experience. Full-time, Monday–Friday with no weekends, though on-call availability applies for criminal cases.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing in MO
- 1-3 years of experience
- Strong litigation, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage a high-volume and diverse caseload independently
- Commitment to client advocacy and ethical legal practice
- No weekends
- Full-time, Monday–Friday
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed and in good standing in IL, KS, TX
- 1-3 years of experience (criminal law and/or personal injury strongly preferred)
- Experience in both criminal defense and personal injury law
