Job Summary
Conduct trauma-informed victim outreach, safety assessments, and individualized safety planning for survivors of crime and domestic violence. Collaborate with NYPD personnel and community agencies to coordinate services and assist clients in navigating the criminal justice system. Maintain accurate case documentation while connecting individuals with housing, shelter, mental health, and other community resources. Apply for NYS Office of Victim Services compensation and deliver community presentations and trainings related to victim services. Requires a Bachelor's degree, two years of experience in victim service delivery, and flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent training or experience
- Two years of experience in crime victim service delivery or other relevant experience
- Demonstrated ability to work independently within a precinct or PSA setting
- Clear verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills and ability to maintain case records
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends
