Job Summary
Lead and work alongside a field crew performing vegetation management on conservation lands throughout Palm Beach County. Organize daily work assignments, enforce safety procedures and PPE requirements, and operate company trucks, trailers, boats, and application equipment. Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections, monitor work quality to protect native plants and wildlife, and complete daily reports for the Project Manager. Take responsibility for crew safety, attendance, and job performance while obtaining the required Florida pesticide applicator license within six months. This hands-on outdoor role involves active work in heat, humidity, standing water, and dense vegetation.
Required Qualifications
- Reliable and able to report to work consistently and on time
- Comfortable supervising and working alongside a field crew
- Willing to work outdoors in Florida heat, humidity, standing water, dense vegetation, and uneven terrain
- Able to communicate clearly and follow written and verbal instructions
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid Florida driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Able to travel to job locations throughout Palm Beach County
- Willing to obtain an FDACS pesticide applicator license within six months
- Able to pass a background check
- Committed to working safely in a Drug-Free Workplace
