Job Summary
Assist with concrete maintenance, including sidewalk and curb repairs, site preparation for pouring, and grading tasks. Collaborate on landscaping support by removing brush, trimming trees, and planting vegetation to enhance green spaces. Perform road repairs, pothole fixes, and utility service cuts while operating heavy equipment like chain saws, stump grinders, and dump trucks. Manage wood and mulch transport and ensure worksites meet safety standards. Requires a high school diploma, valid Virginia driver's license, and ability to obtain VDOT traffic control certification. Full-time role with paid training and a career ladder from Crew Member I to II.
Required Qualifications
- Educational background equivalent to a high school diploma
- A valid Commonwealth of Virginia driver's license
- VDOT-approved Basic Work Zone Traffic Control certification
- OSHA-required training and certifications applicable to the position
- One (1) year of experience and/or training involving manual labor or successful progression from Crew Member I
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B
