Job Summary
Conduct tree pruning, trimming, removal, and ground operations including brush chipping, mowing, chainsaw work, and site cleanup. Safely operate equipment such as chainsaws, pole saws, wood chippers, and brush mowers while inspecting tools daily and reporting mechanical concerns. Assist climbers with rigging systems, stage materials, and perform stump grinding and debris removal. Identify job site hazards, participate in daily briefings, and interact professionally with property owners and municipal officials. Work cooperatively with the crew to complete jobs efficiently under all weather conditions, from 90°F to -25°F, while adhering to DOT, OSHA, and ANSI regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (as determined by insurance).
- Ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with the team in English.
- Reliable, safety-oriented, and able to work well within a team.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job and work in all weather conditions.
Desired Qualifications
- CDL Class A license.
- MN Pesticide Spray License Class A-J.
- EHAP (line voltage recognition) training.
- ISA Certification or ability to obtain.
- Degree in Forestry or a related field.
