Job Summary
Lead landscape maintenance crews in mowing, edging, pruning, and installation; plan, organize, and manage work for crew members; discipline and reward crew, develop and maintain effective teams, complete daily paperwork, and oversee safety and PPE usage. Interface with clients, perform quality control, and ensure project timelines. Training includes identifying plants and plant requirements, pest control procedures, and certifications; preferred irrigation knowledge and certifications; must have valid driver’s license and ability to operate and maintain equipment. Weekend/overtime hours and variable weather conditions apply; Home base Wilmington, NC with on-site leadership duties.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as Crew Member
- Six (6) to twelve (12) months of previous commercial experience as a crew leader preferred but not required
- Maintain valid driver’s license
- Pesticide License preferred
- Ability to communicate with lead people and crew members; bilingual a plus
- Physical ability to perform duties including lifting up to 75 pounds
- Able to drive and back up a truck and trailer
- Safety policy adherence
- Ability to read plans/blueprints
