Job Summary
Plan, delegate tasks, and supervise the entire crew while conducting pre-project meetings and managing all required paperwork. Assess safety hazards, ensure work adheres to regulations, and effectively train and mentor crew members. Direct the successful completion of all scope of work according to construction requirements, quality standards, and time frames. Provide troubleshooting support for integration tasks and perform administrative duties including timesheet submittals, daily reports, expense reports, and punch-walks. Take responsibility for company equipment, vehicles, and tools, and investigate accidents to implement corrective actions. Contribute to performance reviews by motivating the team and providing constructive feedback. Maintain necessary certifications such as RF Awareness, CPR/FIRST AID, and OSHA 10/30.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of tower technician experience
- the ability to manage crews
- Ability to work with advanced hand/power tools, testing equipment, alignment tools
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
- Ability to lead the crew to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Basic computer skills
- 1 year cell site construction experience installing various carriers
- RF Awareness certification
- CPR/FIRST AID certification
- OSHA 10/30 certification
- Comtrain certification (or equivalent)
- Ability to read SA and other paperwork
- Anritsu, PIM Fiber testing/certification
- Must have necessary work tools for Crew Leader position
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving record or CDL
- Ability to operate truck and trailer
- Must be able to climb and work on the towers, poles, buildings (no fear of heights)
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 70 pounds
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully
- Must be able to work in inclement weather (snow, rain, heat, high winds, etc.), long hours and variety of shifts (including night work)
- Must be able to pass ongoing drug screen testing
- Must be able to travel away from home for up to 3-6 weeks at a time
