Job Summary
Provide daily assignments to individual team members, ensure appropriate staffing to meet operational demands, and keep the Supervisor informed on progress and troubleshooting issues. Operate power industrial equipment, switcher trucks, and material handling devices while managing the Warehouse Management System (Cambar), BlueJay/Lean, and SAP systems. Support the Continuous Improvement Program through root cause analysis and handle shipping office functions, including verifying BOLs, signing documents, and ensuring accurate system entries. Store, pick, or assemble finished goods by verifying commodity numbers, quantities, lot numbers, and release status against packaging lists and invoices. Maintain compliance with FDA, OSHA, and Abbott policies while performing administrative duties as directed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Prior job experience within warehousing operations (at least 6 months preferable)
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Very good interpersonal skills
- Analytical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to multitask
- Being a very good team player
- Ability to utilize different types of racking systems
- Self-motivated
- Ability to perform with minimum supervision
- In-depth knowledge of all warehouse operations, procedures, and requirements
- Ability to professionally deal with people under high pressure and in a constantly changing environment
- Ability to operate Power Industrial Equipment
- Working knowledge of the Warehouse Management System (Cambar) including radio frequency usage and workstation usage
- Knowledge of BlueJay/Lean, Peco Pallet Tracking System, SAP system
- Knowledge of Security gates and cameras
- Knowledge of stretch wrappers, ticket applicators, pallet invertor
- Ability to store, pick or assemble finished goods in the warehouse
- Ability to verify commodity number, quantity, release status, and lot number
- Ability to check against packaging lists, invoices, freight bills or other pertinent documentation
- Ability to assure all documentation is accurate
- Ability to address people in a professional manner
- Ability to assure all systems are accurately maintained with timely entries
- Ability to assure BOL's are signed/dated by Common Carrier Driver and the Clerk during the shift
- Ability to keep the Supervisor informed on the progress of all the daily functions
- Ability to address or troubleshoot other issues as needed
- Ability to perform administrative duties as directed by the Supervisor
- Ability to support the Departments Continuous Improvement Program
- Ability to perform root cause analysis
