Job Summary
Lead and assist with training crew members to ensure proper procedures, processes, and quality standards are followed. Read and comprehend daily work orders, determine start and stop times based on weather conditions, and promote jobsite safety while maintaining excellent customer relations. Load and unload trucks with logs, stumps, and debris, relay hand-signals to the crew, and repair minor property damage. Maintain accurate records, timesheets, and reports, ensuring all work complies with industry standards and company values. Work flexible hours in all weather conditions, maintaining vehicles and tools in operational condition. Full-time year-round position requiring a valid driver's license and commercial license within 30 days.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience working in the industry
- Familiar with and knowledgeable about the American National Standards for Tree Care Operations (ANSI Z133.1-2000)
- Must have a valid driver's license, and be able to obtain a commercial driver's license within 30 days of hire
- Must have valid First-Aid and CPR cards or be willing to obtain one
- Ability to push, pull, reach, climb, kneel, lift (up to 75 lbs.) and walk for extended periods of time
- Possess excellent leadership skills and ability to handle stress and multi-task
- Exposure to all temperatures and weather; will be exposed to nature, i.e., irritating plants, biting, or stinging insects, dust, etc.
- Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and customers
- Work flexible hours in all weather conditions to accommodate the seasonality of the industry
- During emergencies or natural disasters may be required to be on duty for the duration of the disaster
