Job Summary

Supervise and perform wind turbine operations, inspections, and maintenance, including electrical, mechanical, and instrument troubleshooting. Coach and train station employees, manage work schedules, and handle emergency call-outs during off-duty hours. Conduct predictive maintenance activities such as thermography, vibration analysis, and oil sampling while operating mobile and heavy equipment. Maintain accurate reports, warehouse supplies, and performance monitoring equipment including PLCs. Ensure crew compliance with safety rules and operating practices.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years wind turbine technical college or 3 years of wind turbine maintenance and operation experience
  • 2 years of electronic study beyond high school or 2 years of experience in electronics work
  • Experience in mechanical/electrical construction and maintenance
  • Supervisory experience
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Broad working knowledge of general mechanics, machine shop operations, general structural and mechanical repair methods and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate work and work with others
  • Demonstrated strong supervisory skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvements of work processes
  • Strong sense of personal and technical responsibility
  • Basic software skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised
  • Possesses skills in basic electricity - math
  • Knowledge in theory and skill in non-structural welding
  • Mechanical comprehension
  • Ability to work from blueprints, diagrams, drawings, and specifications
  • Proficient in the use of machine tools and various hand powered tools as job needs dictate
  • Knowledge of plant operations and systems
  • Must possess technical ability
  • Must be able to climb the tower
  • Knowledge of company safety rules
  • High degree of mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and inclusive work environment
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Travel time from your primary residence to your assigned headquarters must be 120 minutes or less under normal driving conditions
  • Employees selected for this role must reside within 120 miles of the assigned facility
