Job Summary
Lead surveying crew responsible for field surveys, including ALTA, boundary and design surveys, and providing technical support for surveying operations. Operate Trimble GPS, robotic total stations, and differential leveling equipment; interpret construction plans; ensure safety, quality management, and equipment maintenance policies are followed. Travel 3-4 weeks at a time with a per diem; develop strong client relationships and collaborate with coworkers and contractors to improve project outcomes. Requires leadership experience, ability to coordinate activities with surveying technicians and engineering staff, and physical ability to navigate construction sites; associate degree in surveying or related field preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Proven leadership skills in managing and mentoring a survey crew.
- Proficient in operating total stations and GPS in static and RTK modes for various surveying tasks.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
