Job Summary
Land Survey Crew Chief to lead field surveys and coordinate a crew for pre-design boundary and ALTA surveys, including work for electric vehicle charging stations. Role requires traveling extensively within the region, delivering accurate surveying results, and mentoring surveying technicians and engineering staff. Operates total stations and GPS in static and RTK modes; manages equipment and safety requirements; maintains compliance with OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid where applicable. Preferred Associate degree in Surveying or Engineering Technology with experience in land development, public infrastructure projects, and monument recovery. Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to work long hours and travel frequently.
Required Qualifications
- Proven leadership skills in managing and mentoring a survey crew.
- Proficient in operating total stations and GPS in static and RTK modes for surveying tasks.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a capacity to work independently.
- Basic proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office Suite).
