Job Summary
Lead a land surveying crew to deliver field layouts and data for ALTA, boundary, and design surveys; operate Trimble GPS, robotic total stations, and differential leveling equipment; ensure compliance with Safety, Quality Management, and Equipment Maintenance policies; coordinate with clients and contractors to optimize project outcomes; travel 3-4 weeks at a time with a per diem; physically navigate construction sites; require a valid driver’s license and OSHA 10/CPR-First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain); preferred Associate degree in Surveying or Engineering Technology with experience in land development and public infrastructure; collaborate with surveying technicians and engineers to ensure accurate data collection and project success.
Required Qualifications
- Proven leadership skills in managing and mentoring a survey crew
- Proficient in operating total stations and GPS in static and RTK modes for surveying tasks
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work independently
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
