Job Summary
Supervise, assign, inspect, and certify job tasks for heavy maintenance crews while ensuring quality control and timely completion per AWM 573.207. Identify and report abnormal occurrences defined by CAR 625 Appendix G, review scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements, and assign tasks to personnel. Ensure dispatch procedures are followed and step in for the department as required. Maintain relationships with all departments and business partners while providing sound judgment in stressful situations. This role reports to the Production Manager within Perimeter Aviation's maintenance facility, supporting scheduled passenger, freight, and medical evacuation services across Northern Manitoba and Ontario. Candidates must hold a Transport Canada AME License with M1 and/or M2 ratings and possess at least five years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Transport Canada AME License with an M1 and/or M2 rating
- Minimum five years of experience with M1 (m1/m2 preferred)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
- Minimum two years supervisory experience
- Working knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Physically able to perform all listed job duties
- Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role
- Work in a shop environment with full range of movement including, but not limited to, bending, sitting, standing, lifting to a maximum of 50lbs, pushing and pulling daily
- Work performed both indoors and outdoors; employee must be able to adapt to all outdoor weather conditions
