Job Summary
Crew Chief oversees staking for well locations, pipelines, and access roads, including slope staking for pads; provides daily oversight of Survey Assistants; ensures accurate, efficient, and safe field work; performs measurements, field checks, data reduction, and prepares topographic surveys while maintaining clear field notes and client/landowner communications; emphasizes safety, quality control, and compliance with company requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Background in math, geometry, and/or trigonometry required
- 6–12 months of experience as a Survey Field Assistant and/or related training or schooling
- Valid driver’s license required
- Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) must meet company requirements throughout employment
