Job Summary
Crew and Equipment Design Engineer role in aerospace, located in Melbourne, FL, onsite. Develop ICDs, layouts and drawings of crew and equipment installations; perform NX modeling and equipment integration; coordinate with suppliers for integration activities; role may be filled at Level 2 or Level 3 based on qualifications. Requires DoD clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret; travel up to 10%.
Required Qualifications
- Level 2: Bachelor's in STEM from an accredited university AND 2 years of experience in the design and integration of equipment OR Master’s degree in STEM AND 0 years of experience
- Level 3: Bachelor's in STEM from an accredited university AND 5 years of experience in the design and integration of equipment OR Master’s degree in STEM AND 3 years of experience
- Active In-Scope DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain Active DoD Top Secret clearance
- Supplier Management Team (SMT) experience
- Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (preferred)
- Experience with environmental control systems design, analysis and integration
- NX and/or CPLM software experience
- Ability to interpret component detail drawings, specifications, installation drawings, and test procedures
- Experience writing/reviewing technical documents: SSOWs, SRDs, ICDs, SDRLs
- Experience leading and mentoring multidisciplinary engineering teams
- U.S. Citizenship is required for government-cleared positions
- Travel: 10% of the time
