Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and support Crestron/Home automation systems across luxury residential projects. Diagnose and resolve issues with Crestron, Control4, Lutron, HomeWorks & Savant; configure, program, and troubleshoot networks, control systems, A/V, and surveillance; utilize remote access tools; set up remote monitoring and enroll clients in support plans; coordinate with Service Manager to track and resolve recurring issues; communicate with manufacturer tech support; manage part replacements and time entries; identify opportunities for system upgrades or replacements and share recommendations; deliver exceptional client service and training in person and remotely; maintain records of work orders and job costing; participate in on-call rotation; maintain tools, vehicles, and assets; protect client privacy and security.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in residential A/V or smart home system installation or service preferred
- Strong understanding of A/V, security, lighting, and home automation systems (Control4, Lutron, Savant, Crestron, DSC, Clare)
- Ability to read and interpret home schematics, plans, and CAD drawings
- Solid troubleshooting skills and comfort working independently in client environments
- Strong communication and client service skills with a professional demeanor
- Basic computer skills and ability to quickly learn job management software
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check; security license preferred
- Physical requirements: lift up to 60 lbs, ladders, etc.
