Job Summary
The Credit Support Specialist coordinates between the market, the Underwriter, and Wholesale Lending Serves (WLS) to manage commercial loan documentation, booking, funding, and collateral release. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing loan documents (loan agreements, notes, guaranties, security documents) using HotDocs, coordinating with outside counsel, real estate and other third-party vendors (e.g., flood zone certifications, title work, insurance certificates, UCC searches), ensuring complete loan packages for posting to WLS, and handling post-closing activities such as applying fees, identifying missing fees, and resolving documentation exceptions with customers, bankers, underwriters, and attorneys. The role also involves coordinating with WLS partners to correct onboarding errors in loan systems and managing collateral changes, with emphasis on accuracy, organization, and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in commercial loan operations or a credit/lending environment
- Knowledge of commercial loan documentation (review of loan agreements, notes, guaranties, and security documents)
- Knowledge of commercial credit products
- Knowledge of credit and commercial loan systems
- Good verbal, written and organizational skills
- Detail oriented with ability to multi task and prioritize in a team-based environment
