Job Summary
Originates residential mortgage loans and HELOCs for clients, delivering mortgage products in person or by telephone while balancing sales performance, operational risk, and client relationship care. Builds relationships with new and existing clients, analyzes financial needs, recommends suitable borrowing options, submits mortgage applications, gathers documentation, and keeps clients informed throughout the loan process via outbound calls, email, and messaging. Performs pipeline management, follow-up, and cross-referrals to internal partners to deliver an exceptional client experience and meet lending objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of mortgage origination experience
- Ability to assess client needs and goals and interact proactively with clients
- Professional communication skills (verbal and written) and comfortable in person and over the phone
- Ability to analyze financial and credit data to advise on product/pricing policies
- Strong customer-service skills and ability to manage end-to-end client experience
- Comfort with flexible hours and weekends as needed
- Knowledge of mortgage products (Conventional, Jumbo, HELOC) and real estate lending guidelines
- Experience with loan processing, underwriting, and closing procedures
