Job Summary
Contact charged-off customers via telephone or mail to negotiate full payment or payment plans that protect the bank's interest. Update collection files, complete necessary paperwork, and locate customers using skip tracing and Lexis/Nexis. Recommend actions regarding repossessions, bankruptcies, and foreclosures, then arrange for appropriate bank or legal action based on account analysis. This role requires at least one year of collections experience and knowledge of consumer and collection law. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of collections experience
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Desired Qualifications
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have strong negotiation skills and ability
- Working knowledge of consumer and collection law
- Must be goal oriented and self-motivated
- Knowledge of CACS, RMS and HOGAN systems
- Experience using computers
