Job Summary
Research, recommend, and approve underwriting and credit limits for corporate and financial institution transactions while assessing counterparty risk and monitoring covenants. Prepare counterparty ratings, analyze industry and financial data, and make time-sensitive credit decisions to achieve portfolio strategy objectives. Coordinate with business units on transaction structuring, resolve conflicting views, and support internal and regulatory audits by providing documentation and feedback. Prepare regular credit portfolio review materials for senior management and leverage AI tools to optimize workflows while maintaining ethical data standards.
Required Qualifications
- Post graduate level qualifications and business/finance major (e.g.CA / CWA / MBA / FRM)
- Experience of 2-3 years in credit risk management in wholesale banking from reputed financial institution, including analysis, approval / recommendation of transactions and portfolio responsibilities
- Basic understanding of key products – financings, trade finance and global markets (fx/rates/commodities)
- Strong technical & analytic skills, risk judgment
- Basic understanding of documentation like ISDA, CSA and loan agreements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to make time sensitive credit decisions
- Strategic and result oriented
- Team oriented, flexible, diligent, self-motivated
- Effective time management/ ability to remain calm under stress
