Job Summary
Assess all key credit risks through identification, understanding, and control, including verifying risk ratings and initiating action on deteriorating major accounts. Approve TDGF credit limits and reviews within authority limits while managing the TD Bank Group adjudication process. Provide analysis and interpretation of credit risk reporting for senior management, identify automation opportunities, and monitor regulatory requirements to ensure policy compliance. Support the Credit Risk Committee secretariat by scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and recording minutes. Manage concentration risk across country, industry, and counterparty exposures, oversee outsourced credit risk activities, and contribute to the development of the risk appetite statement.
Required Qualifications
- background and experience in wholesale banking credit risk
- general credit management, analysis and/or adjudication
- exceptional attention to detail
- ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- strong networking capabilities
- deepen general credit risk management knowledge across adjudication, governance and reporting
- exposure to a wide range of business and risk management functions
- accurate, complete, objective assessment of all key credit risks

- Verify that risk ratings are assigned accurately
- Develop and maintain sound knowledge of specific industries
- knowledge of the related appropriate lending structures

- Initiate appropriate action on major accounts where the risk to the bank is deteriorating

- Support the risk assessment process and development of the risk appetite statement for credit risk

- Act as the Credit Risk Committee secretariat

- Assess and identify areas for improvement of the delivery of the Credit Risk management framework
- timeliness and accuracy of local credit risk reporting of credit exposures and credit risk management activities

- Review breaches of credit risk limits
