Credit Risk Model Owner

Credit Risk Model Owner Associate sought to monitor and manage credit risk related models for the SMBC Americas Division portfolio. Responsibilities include conducting model performance monitoring based on monitoring plans, maintaining model inventories, preparing documentation packages with validators, developing internal credit risk rating models with Tokyo Head Office and external vendors, leading related projects, providing training to junior members, and presenting findings to senior management and regulators. Collaboration with model users, validators, internal auditors, and Tokyo Head Office is expected; role involves ensuring governance standards and improvements to data management processes, with emphasis on delivering accurate model validation and user guidance. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in model risk management, strong quantitative skills (Excel/VBA, SQL, SAS, Python), and effective communication abilities; Master/CFA/FRM preferred; Japanese language skill a plus.
