Job Summary
Develop strategic and tactical recommendations to enhance profitability while managing overall portfolio risk within the consumer credit space. Recommend and implement comprehensive consumer credit policies, providing governance oversight for compliance. Analyze data to segment loan applicants, develop account management and collection prioritization strategies, and independently report key risks and emerging trends. Act as a liaison to business units on credit review management and mentor credit analysts to develop, attract, and retain talent. This exempt role includes incentive eligibility and participates in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Located at the Riverchase Complex North Building in Hoover, Alabama, the position requires a Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in consumer credit risk management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Five (5) years of experience in consumer credit risk management
- Ability to evaluate, synthesize, organize, and interpret data and information
- Ability to provide direction in underwriting requirements and origination automation strategies
- Knowledge of quantitative analysis and static pool analysis
- Strong technical skills, basic programming and statistical concepts
- Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
- Understanding of Consumer Credit products, industry changes, regulatory requirements and banking laws
