Job Summary
Credit Risk Director in the Community Development Banking team leads a team of Credit Officers to manage risk, evaluate transactions and credit packages, close transactions, and monitor a portfolio of LIHTC housing-finance projects. Responsibilities include developing and leading credit risk professionals, owning the approval process for new loans and modifications, ensuring compliance with risk policies, contributing to LIHTC lending policy development, ensuring accuracy and quality of analyses, coordinating project delegation and closing timelines, understanding third-party reports and loan documents, and collaborating with external/internal stakeholders through site visits and industry events.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in community development real estate
- Experience in affordable housing finance, including Low Income Housing Tax Credits and subsidy financing
- Excellent teamwork and customer service, consistently delivering on commitments to colleagues and clients
- Leadership and analytical skills, with experience synthesizing information, developing recommendations, making decisions, and problem solving
- Project management skills, demonstrating organization, timeliness, execution, and collaboration
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
