Credit Research, Consultant

This role is accountable for producing comprehensive and timely credit research, as well as managing the approval processes for credit issuers, internal ratings, and limit settings to ensure effective governance of corporate credit and government guaranteed portfolios. The position also entails stewardship of an assigned credit research portfolio to support overall portfolio performance and competitive peer positioning. Credit research portfolio responsibilities include providing investment opinions and trade ideas to Fixed Income teams, analyzing dynamic credit situations, developing investment theses, monitoring risk across holdings, researching new ideas for portfolio consideration, and advancing credit modeling and monitoring systems. The role requires ensuring annual reviews of holdings, publishing high-quality research papers on sectors of expertise, maintaining up-to-date research on risk, and ensuring timely credit approvals in line with Group Risk policies. Initiatives include forming actionable calls to assist Portfolio Managers in enhancing total return, ensuring compliance with investment parameters and regulatory requirements, and maintaining audit trails. Job requirements include a Finance/Accounting/Economics/Business degree (CFA charterholder preferred), strong analytical and communication skills, understanding of Asian macro and Fixed Income markets, knowledge of Basel II/III and Solvency II or related regulatory regimes, and 5+ years of relevant experience.
