Job Summary
Credit Representative responsible for locating, notifying, and securing payments from customers with delinquent accounts. Duties include sending text messages and letters to encourage payment, conferring with customers by text or phone to determine reasons for overdue payments, reviewing terms of sales or credit contracts, documenting all correspondence, receiving and posting payments, balancing a cash drawer, traveling to customers’ homes as needed to collect on late payments and assist with repossessions when approved, preparing paperwork for potential legal action, initiating credit investigations under direction of the Credit Manager, logging activities daily/weekly/monthly, processing documentation, and supporting sales floor duties such as greeting customers, performing sales write-ups, updating CRM, and participating in store rotation. Maintains sales quotas and adheres to store standards and HOME values. Equal Opportunity Employer with ADA accommodations available.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- six months experience in payment collections or general office procedures
- valid State Driver’s License
