Credit Recovery Specialist - 12 months contract

Credit Recovery Specialist responsible for maintaining a minimal delinquency ratio on Tangerine's Chequing and Loans portfolios; analyze client activity for irregular activity and take precautionary actions to mitigate losses while adhering to company regulations and policies. Key duties include managing delinquency ratios, resolving daily returned payments and contacting clients to elicit promises to pay, documenting conversations, negotiating to minimize loss and maximize recovery of past-due accounts, responding to internal/external inquiries, assisting call centre with escalations, handling delinquency notices, reviewing/updating credit bureau information, processing bankruptcies and consumer proposals within timelines, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities for the Account Recovery Department. Required skills include strong negotiation and analytical abilities, excellent written and verbal communication, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and familiarity with banking products and systems (DAWT, Profile IBS). The role requires attention to detail, ability to work in a 9am-5pm Monday-to-Friday schedule, and resides in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
