Job Summary
Conduct financial statement analysis, generate risk ratings, and track covenant compliance for commercial loans. Perform ongoing credit due diligence, prepare market and collateral analysis, and support the structuring of new loans and modifications. Assist Credit Products Specialists in drafting credit approval memoranda and conducting annual portfolio reviews. Participate in credit training programs and deal screen meetings to gain exposure to credit decision-making. This entry-level role develops foundational skills in commercial credit risk and lending within Commercial & Private Banking.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
- 1+ Years
- Basic understanding of financial statements and credit risk fundamentals
- Ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and assess risk factors
- Ensures accuracy in financial analysis and reporting
- Capable of handling multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
- Works effectively with internal teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets, basic financial modeling), Word, and PowerPoint
- Willingness to develop expertise in commercial lending and credit risk
- Demonstrates a strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders by communicating clearly, engaging in proactive collaboration, and leveraging cross functional insights
- Aligns relationship building efforts with enterprise goals to accelerate performance and drive strategic results
- Builds trusted client relationships, whether internal or external, by identifying needs and delivering tailored solutions to enhance the overall client experience
