Job Summary

Credit Portfolio Manager III responsible for leading independent underwriting for complex Wholesale Banking loans within an assigned portfolio, providing in-depth financial analysis of statements, projections, collateral, and guarantor support; managing portfolio performance, monitoring covenants, and coordinating with Relationship Managers, Credit Risk, and Treasury Management; mentoring CPM I/II as needed; extensive client interaction and participation in special projects to improve portfolio management; requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 7+ years in commercial lending and SME-level expertise across multiple lines of business; proficiency in Moody's Risk Analyst or similar tools, Excel, and strong written/oral communication; adherence to BSA/AML and regulatory guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • seven or more years of experience in a commercial lending environment
  • experience across multiple lines of business including Commercial & Industrial, real estate development and builder lines, service, retail, commercial real estate, religious organizations and government
  • SME for aligned industry, commercial credit and lending concepts, practices and regulations
  • proficiency in analyzing financial statements, tax returns and cash flows of commercial & industrial companies, or commercial & residential real estate companies
  • knowledge of financial statement spreading and pro-forma statements within Moody's or other software packages
  • strong written and oral communication skills (selling, structuring, negotiating, closing, maintenance, modifications and problem resolution)
  • PC proficiency with Word and Excel, including formulas, macros, charts, and tables
  • ability to research industry sources needed for credit evaluations
  • strong organizational and time-management skills
  • ability to work independently and in a team
  • underwriting and portfolio management responsibilities
  • compliance with BSA/AML policies
