Job Summary
Assess and manage risks for new originations and ongoing portfolios across software, digital infrastructure, and high-growth consumer sectors. Conduct in-depth due diligence, perform complex financial modeling, and lead legal negotiations for venture debt and institutional term loans nationwide. Structure new transactions, document facilities with counsel, and maintain acceptable credit reporting metrics while partnering with commercial bankers and internal stakeholders. Mentor less experienced team members on risk grading, credit request analysis, and documentation. Form independent views on credit policy and drive execution to meet tight deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS/BBA degree
- Completion of a major corporate or commercial bank credit training program (or the equivalent corporate banking/corporate finance experience)
- Thorough understanding of bank credit policies and procedures
- 6+ years' experience in commercial banking/lending
- Extensive credit analysis
- Significant accounting and finance knowledge
- Strong working knowledge of credit agreements and other loan documentation
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
- Proven ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships
- Intellectual curiosity
- Proven ability to learn quickly
- High degree of initiative, self-direction, and ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to travel to meet with clients in person
- Review of criminal conviction history, including pretrial diversions or program entries
