Credit Officer, Vice President - Asset Based Lending

Job Summary
Manage portfolio of ABL clients, monitor financial performance trends, borrowing base trends, and covenant compliance, and lead credit relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. Perform due diligence for loans, derivatives, leases, and cash management including financial modeling, field exams, appraisals, and legal diligence. Assign internal ratings, assess risk, and recommend structural changes to address negative trends. Interpret collateral appraisals, monitor liquidity trends, and establish reserves. Lead ABL credit structuring, legal document negotiations, and amendments. Challenge Banking Teams while partnering with Originations, Syndications, Debt Capital Markets, Treasury Services, Equipment Finance, Derivatives, and Loan Operations. Communicate with Senior Management, respond to regulatory requests, and maintain internal credit files. Train and mentor junior team members.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in commercial banking, credit risk, portfolio management and underwriting with Asset Based Lending financing knowledge
- Strong understanding of capital markets, financing structures, derivatives and cash management products as well as related documentation
- Excellent communication and presentation skills - both written and verbal
- Ability to think critically and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Bachelor's degree
Desired Qualifications
- Formal credit training program a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
