Job Summary
Senior Associate, Asset Wealth Management Credit Risk — evaluate consumer and business-purpose credit requests, analyze financial statements to assess cash flow, leverage, and balance sheet strength, apply Basel III risk grading methodologies, assess collateral, loan structures, covenants, and events of default, independently identify key credit risks and mitigants, formulate clear credit recommendations with concise rationale, evaluate cross-border risks, and collaborate with Front Office to negotiate loan structures and ensure timely, compliant execution of approved credit facilities in a highly regulated environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3+ years of relevant experience in credit risk, credit underwriting, portfolio management, or related financial analysis roles
- Strong working knowledge of financial statement analysis, cash flow assessment, and credit risk fundamentals
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with colleagues at all levels including senior risk and front office partners
- Experience in evaluating collateral, loan structures, covenants, and default scenarios
- Experience supporting wealth management, private banking, or high net worth lending portfolios
- Knowledge of regulatory capital frameworks and internal risk rating methodologies
- Experience partnering with Front Office or relationship managers
- Prior mentoring or informal leadership experience
