Job Summary
Credit Officer II for Bank of America’s Asset Based Finance group, responsible for a portfolio of asset-based lending clients, delivering credit solutions and managing risk. Responsibilities include leading loan-structure conversations, negotiating loan documentation with clients and internal/external legal partners, driving credit and risk approval processes for new originations/renewals/modifications, ongoing portfolio monitoring in compliance with regulations, and driving growth of funded loans and revenue while mitigating risk. The role also involves mentoring associates, handling both performing and distressed credits, and coordinating with relationship management, product partners, legal counsel, and financial sponsors. Some travel to meet clients is expected and there is emphasis on leadership in managing bank groups and client relationships.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience in asset-based lending, commercial banking, or private credit
- Detailed understanding of legal documentation
- Ability to draft concise, accurate and clear credit approvals with minimal oversight
