Credit Officer – Financial Institutions (Banks & Intragroup Sector)

Job Summary
Conduct credit analysis and recommendations on lending/trading limits and new transaction requests for a portfolio of Global Banks. Cover the sector by incorporating a forward view of horizon risks into credit papers and discussions with partners. Support new business origination by assessing and shaping live transactions, while conducting client due diligence meetings. Proactively contribute to sector strategy, appetite setting, and changes to credit policies and processes. Build positive relationships to become a trusted business partner for Coverage and Product colleagues. Take ownership of data integrity and champion simplification initiatives. Collaborate on other FI portfolios, including Insurance, Securitisations, Financial Sponsors, and Funds.
Required Qualifications
- A sound understanding of the credit risk assessment of Banks
- Robust understanding of FI sectors and products
- Experience of credit in Banks
- Excellent knowledge of lending and traded products and documentation
