Job Summary
Collect on delinquent accounts by preparing, researching, making calls, and following up via correspondence or telephone while maintaining detailed call reports. Process credit applications for direct billings, review billing and references to determine credit status, and assist departments in resolving billing procedures. Establish and enforce credit policies and procedures to increase sales and keep debts at a minimum. Conduct weekly staff meetings to review schedules, group arrivals, new resort policies, and discuss problems or suggestions. Handle monthly write-offs and return checks, refer accounts for outside collection activity, and attend monthly meetings. Maintain open communication between guests, associates, and management, and assist in other credit/finance areas as assigned. Provide lateral service support to ensure customer satisfaction when requested by operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years of experience in resort finance
- Understanding of all aspects of the credit process within the resort
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organization skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent computer skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Valid employment authorization (E-Verify)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to stand constantly
- Ability to climb stairs frequently
- Ability to sit frequently
- Ability to crouch/bend/stoop frequently
- Ability to reach frequently
- Ability to grasp constantly
