Job Summary
Supervise the NYR Region Credit Department, review and endorse credit proposals, and manage loan applications and annual reviews jointly with the Deputy CEO. Approve commercial loan and trade service transactions in the GCMS system, including collateral, customer ratings, and facility limits. Coordinate external loan reviews and auditors, handle recovery actions with attorneys, and manage the NYR OREO portfolio. Direct staff workflows, ensure compliance with bank policies, and oversee weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting to headquarters. Monitor classified loans for the Loan Committee and provide internal and external training. Own risks and report exposure proactively to senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university
- 10 years of related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have advanced English language skills
- Some travel for site inspections and seminar training might be required
- Owns the risks they take and are responsible and accountable for ongoing management of risks, including the identifying, measuring, monitoring, assessing (self-assessment) and reporting risk exposure proactively to senior management
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient Chinese language is a plus
