Job Summary
Evaluate customer creditworthiness, manage credit limits, and lead collection efforts to optimize DSO and minimize bad debt. Review and process credit applications, limit increases, and hold overrides using Blue Book Produce Reporter, Dun & Bradstreet, and other trade references while obtaining internal approvals. Coordinate dispute resolution with Sales and customers, and pursue legal actions including PACA, FDACS, DRC, and bankruptcy court for delinquent accounts. Maintain credit limits based on portfolio risk exposure, prepare monthly AR reports, and reconcile all AR-related GL accounts. Develop and maintain credit policies, publish annual risk assessment reports, and prepare audit documentation for receivables.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field
- 5+ years of experience in credit management or a related financial role
- Proficiency in ERP/Accounting systems, AR subledger management, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Desired Qualifications
- Agricultural or food industry experience
- NACM Advanced Credit Designation
- Experience with credit analysis tools (Blue Book Produce Reporter, D&B, Moody's, Sunbiz, and FDACS databases)
- DRC (Dispute Resolution Corporation) processes for cross-border dispute resolution
