Credit Group Manager - Senior Vice President

Job Summary
Lead execution of credit approvals and discussions with Risk, underwriting and escalation within 1LOD; supervise underwriting of a portfolio of corporate clients, from origination discussions to credit memo development and senior approval forums; oversee comprehensive financial analysis, due diligence, projection modeling, stress testing, and risk ratings; provide underwriting sign-off for transactions requiring senior approval; build and maintain partnerships with Front Office on structuring new transactions and negotiating legal documentation; lead credit conversations with internal and external auditors; manage direct reports, staffing solutions, and onboarding processes; foster analysts’ development and address gaps; monitor a portfolio of clients with timely production of credit approval memos and effective risk communication; develop strategic insights and collaborate with risk, banking, product teams, and regulators to maintain best practices in risk management.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years risk/risk-related credit work experience in banking/financial institutions
- Master’s degree preferred
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Ability to engage with regulators and internal control functions including Internal Audit and Fundamental Credit Risk
- Ability to see the ‘big picture’ in a complex environment
- Can make decisions under pressure and short timeline
