Job Summary
Contract instructor for XPFT 20400 Fitness Appraisal & Lifestyle Counselling in the Personal Fitness Trainer Diploma program at Mount Royal University. Teach the Fall 2026 semester (Tuesdays & Thursdays, 5:00pm–7:55pm) at MRU Main Campus in Calgary. Responsibilities include instruction using approved curriculum, implementing assessment measures, marking and submitting final grades, maintaining regular contact with the administration team, and adhering to program policies and deadlines. The course emphasizes fitness appraisal, lifestyle counselling, and the PATH protocol as outlined by CSEP, preparing students for the CSEP-CPT certification. Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Health Science, Kinesiology or related field, 3-5 years of applicable professional experience, experience with CSEP-CPT, strong communication skills, adult education instructional experience, and proficiency with Google Workspace and D2L; a PhD is an asset.

- Proficiency with the D2L learning management system is an asset
