Job Summary
Oversee all day-to-day activities of the credit department by monitoring and managing credit control processes to ensure adherence to company policies. Review and analyze financial records of customers to assess creditworthiness, maintaining accurate credit files and records while monitoring accounts for timely payments and addressing discrepancies. Work closely with customers to resolve billing inquiries or disputes, generate regular reports on accounts receivable, collections, and credit risk, and propose process enhancements based on industry trends. This role requires a Bachelor of Science in Finance or Accounting and at least three years of experience managing credit and accounts receivables.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing credit and accounts receivables or in a similar credit management role
- Strong knowledge of credit control principles and practices
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to evaluate financial information, perform risk assessments and make informed credit decisions
- Ability to implement accounting principles and practices effectively
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively resolve conflicts
