Job Summary
Lead the Credit Control and Sales Ledger functions across UK and French operations, overseeing credit management, collections, customer accounts, cash allocation, and sales ledger processing. Establish and enforce credit policies, procedures, and controls while reviewing credit limits, payment terms, and account openings. Monitor customer payment performance and aged debt, proactively addressing overdue balances, bad debt exposure, and high-risk accounts through credit holds, revised terms, or legal recovery. Partner with Commercial and Operational teams to balance growth with risk management, and oversee the Order-to-Cash process for accurate invoicing and reconciliations. Produce key performance reports on collections, debtor forecasts, and credit exposure while driving continuous improvement and supporting acquisitions.
Required Qualifications
- Experience managing a Credit Control, Accounts Receivable or Order-to-Cash function
- Proven success in improving cash collection performance and debtor metrics
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and growing business environment
- Strong understanding of credit risk management, collections, aged debt and bad debt prevention
- Experience reviewing credit applications, setting credit limits and managing credit exposure
- Experience leading and developing finance teams
- Ability to build accountability and drive high performance
