Job Summary
Credit Assistance Specialist II on 2nd shift in Phoenix, AZ. Responsible for reaching out to delinquent or high-risk clients to secure payment, negotiating repayment in a compliant and ethical manner, and providing empathetic, client-focused service. Duties include handling outbound/inbound calls across stages of delinquency or risk, leveraging problem-solving and decision-making skills, coaching other specialists on policies and procedures, and working with an automated or manual calling system while maintaining banking-operations standards. Strong emphasis on negotiations, customer service excellence, and adherence to applicable laws and bank codes of conduct.
Required Qualifications
- Current Consumer Card experience
- 1+ years of credit assistance/collections experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to continue working one's current shift
- Proficient in dealing with customer issues
- Demonstrate negotiation and persuasion skills
- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- Intranet/call center experience in Banking/financial services
- Knowledge of banking operations
