Job Summary
Credit and Systematic Trading Front End Developer (Vice President) leads front-end development for Credit Portfolio Trading and Systematic Trading tooling in Fixed Income Trading Services. Based on the trading floor, the role collaborates with traders, quants, and product teams to deliver real-time trading and analytics UI, scalable micro-front end architectures, and enterprise UI frameworks. Responsibilities include acting as a front-end technology lead, translating business needs into scalable UI solutions, architecting real-time data-intensive applications, building with HTML5/React/Angular, integrating RESTful APIs and messaging systems, guiding mid-level developers, enforcing coding standards, and ensuring secure, high-performance front-end delivery within governance and risk policies. Requires 6–10 years of development experience, strong front-end and back-end capabilities (Python/Java), experience with low-latency trading environments, and leadership in an embedded trading context. Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 6–10 years of experience in application development or systems analysis
- 5+ years of Front-End/UI development experience
- 3–5 years of experience building large-scale, distributed applications using Python or Java
- Experience building trading, pricing, or real-time analytics applications in low-latency, high-throughput environments
- Prior experience supporting Credit markets or other secondary trading businesses
- Proven experience with micro-front end architectures, reusable UI frameworks, and contextualization technologies (e.g., FDC3)
- Strong understanding of scalable UI architecture, UX best practices, and secure front-end development
- Experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs and event-driven or messaging/data platforms (e.g., Kafka, Solace, Redis, Elasticsearch, Pinot)
- Proficiency with source control tools such as Git
- Solid understanding of SDLC concepts and experience operating in Agile and Waterfall delivery models
- Demonstrated leadership, ownership mindset, and ability to operate autonomously in a desk‐embedded, fast‐paced trading environment
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills across both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to rapidly learn the business context, reprioritize, and deliver both strategic builds and tactical solutions under tight timelines
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Master’s degree preferred
