Job Summary
As a Credit Analyst, evaluate the creditworthiness of commercial and agriculture loan applicants to help ensure sound lending decisions. Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports; prepare detailed credit memos including financial spreads, cash flow analysis, and risk assessment; assess borrower repayment capacity, collateral adequacy, and overall credit risk; assist with loan reviews and audits; follow bank policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to maintain compliance and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, finance or accounting preferred
- 1-2 years of related experience, ideally within a community bank
- Experience with loan origination systems (e.g., Meridian Link, Encompass, or similar) preferred
