Credit Analyst

Analyze credit requests for domestic customers to determine credit worthiness, minimize bad debt risk, and maximize accounts receivable collection. Initiate credit investigations using reporting agencies and industry data, calculate financial ratios, and compile reports on finance and credit information. Set, review, and revise credit limits while determining restrictive selling terms where necessary. Manage collection activity by identifying delinquent accounts, contacting customers for payment, reconciling balances, and resolving disputes. Review customer files, inform sales personnel of collection issues, and refer difficult cases to Credit Management with recommended courses of action. Assist in preparing legal documents for suit actions and bankruptcy filings. Primarily office-based with some travel to visit customers or attend credit meetings. Requires minimum of two years' related experience and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
