Job Summary
Lead ratings analysis and research on complex structured corporate, digital infrastructure and project finance transactions within Fitch's Complex Credits Group; drive rating approaches and criteria development for non-standard credits; identify and research trends affecting credit risk, and produce credit reports and publications. Manage data-driven analysis of quantitative and qualitative information and legal documents to support ratings; collaborate with other Fitch analytical groups to ensure analytical consistency; represent Fitch externally at industry conferences, issuer meetings, site visits, and other forums; mentor junior team members and contribute to the growth of the infrastructure & project finance rating practice. The role emphasizes leadership in North America with global exposure, and requires strong communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects while operating in a team-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree at minimum
- 10+ years relevant experience in capital markets and/or credit analysis
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to shift fluidly between multiple projects as priorities change
- Ability to excel in a team-oriented environment
- Previous experience covering the infrastructure, project finance or structured credit sector and focusing on credit risk assessment is a plus
