Job Summary
Key responsibilities include assisting in the development of underwriting policies, analyzing credit applications to assess risk, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing loan applications using Microsoft Office and Loan Origination Systems. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, experience in underwriting, and 3-5 years of relevant experience. Strong analytical skills, communication abilities, and familiarity with financial regulations and loan structures are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, associate degree or equivalent in Finance, Business, or related field
- Previous experience in underwriting is mandatory
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience is recommended
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Remain current on lending regulations and guidelines
- Familiarity with Loan Origination Systems (LOS)
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Research and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of financial services regulations together with all internal policies and procedures
- Working knowledge of various loan structures, payment schedules, amortizations, interest rates
- Basic understanding of financial information and lending regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in founding, co-founding or working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Experience in Powersports Finance Industry (motorcycle, ATVs UTVs, PWCs)
- Experience in a FinTech startup
- Advanced Professional degree
