Job Summary
Credit Analyst based in Los Angeles responsible for managing credit-related activities for designated Japanese corporate portfolio. Prepare credit applications for new and renewal transactions, gather relevant information, outline transaction rationales, model financial projections, and analyze repayment sources. Conduct comprehensive annual reviews and periodic rating reviews. Prepare documentation of agreements, working with the legal team. Monitor the portfolio, update credit conditions, and track covenants and market/industry factors. Correspond with clients to gather information, conduct Q&As, and respond to requests. Work with Relationship Managers to execute transactions end-to-end, support promotion of bank products, and maintain open communication with clients and internal teams. Assist with audit and regulatory-related requests/meetings/presentations, and comply with Credit Risk Management and Legal & Compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related area
- Some credit credentials, analytical skills with in-depth knowledge of accounting and corporate finance
- Prior banking in a similar field and/or formalized credit training from an accredited financial institution preferred
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a demanding environment and adhere to tight deadlines, managing multiple tasks at the same time
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership of tasks with attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Japanese and English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CapIQ and Bloomberg
- Eligibility to work in the U.S
