Job Summary
The Credit Analyst III analyzes borrowers' financials and industry data to inform lending decisions, prepares detailed underwriting analyses and approval memorandums, maintains credit files, monitors regulatory compliance, and supports the lending function; responsibilities include researching industry information, presenting findings to credit authorities, and occasionally engaging in customer meetings with potential travel. The role requires independent data gathering and analysis, strong written/oral communication, and the ability to coach junior analysts, with an emphasis on assessing cash flow, collateral, management profiles, and risk factors to identify trends and drive sound credit decisions.
Required Qualifications
- 4 year degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years related experience
- Demonstrates knowledge of credit and financial analysis techniques
- Strong understanding of loan risk factors
- Demonstrates ability to independently gather, consolidate, analyze and summarize data
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software
- Self-confident in conversations with clients and colleagues
- Ability to coach, train and lead junior staff in credit and financial analysis techniques
